Awesome Life Advice

What does it take to live a good life. In lots of ways this really depends on who you are, what you value and what you want. So I’m kinda setting myself up to fail here as this question will be answered by different people in a million different ways. But for me living a good life means feeling connected to the community, felling healthy, being a good partner and in lots of ways taking things back to simplicity – growing my food, upcycling my clothes and making my own skincare products. So with this in mind I thought it would be good to share some of the best lift advice I have received.

1. Live your own life – not your neighbours

This is advice is so easy to say but almost impossible to do. But its crucial to your own happiness and sanity. So make sure you are focusing on your own life and your own progress. Don’t compare yourself with your friends, neighbours or random beautiful people on Instagram. These people might be important to you but they are not a measure of your own success. Focus on your life and your journey.

2. Do what is right for you

This also means you live the life you want not the one expected of you. If you want to be a mechanic and your dad wants you to be a lawyer, be a mechanic. You will never find happiness living your life by other peoples expectations.

3. Don’t chicken out

By this I mean don’t just mean stick to your comfort zone and take the easy route. Instead If you want to be happy do what scares you. Think of your dreams that seem impossible and go for it. This way you will reach your potential and be successful. Don’t settle for second best because you are scared.

4. Be your best self

Being your best self means being the person who has the most positive presence, who brings the most joy and happiness to those around you, and who has the most empathy for those in need. It means being that person even when you’re not feeling your best.

5. Make time for what matters most to you

If you are in the corporate sector, then this might be difficult to work on. But if you are an entrepreneur or freelance copywriter, then you can take time for focussing on your passions and interests.

It is important that you don’t lose sight of what matters most to the business. But it is equally as important that you make time for what matters most to yourself.

Take all advice with a pinch of salt

Ultimately just find the right advice for you and try your best.
